Purple U Youth Foundation is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to empowering young people from underserved communities through innovative education, STEM initiatives, and global service. We cultivate well-rounded leaders by advancing mental health and well-being, cultural appreciation and identity, youth-led social impact and justice, and environmental responsibility. Through hands-on programs and community engagement, Purple U equips youth with the skills, confidence, and voice to drive meaningful, lasting change in their communities and beyond.

What We Do
PurpleU Youth Foundation delivers impactful, youth-driven programs that empower the next generation of leaders through education, service, and advocacy.
Community Engagement & Wellness Initiative – Supports youth and families through literacy programs, youth mental health and wellness education, cultural celebration, and access to essential community resources, fostering a more inclusive and supportive community.
Education & STEM Leadership Program (New Gen Weekend School) – Provides accessible, hands-on learning experiences through PurpleU’s New Gen Weekend School, offering instruction in English, math, robotics, drone technology, and music education, including the PurpleU Youth Strings Program. The program builds critical thinking, creativity, and confidence while supporting youth development and well-being.
Global Youth Leadership & Service Program – Connects young leaders through international partnerships and service projects focused on education, health, social impact, and environmental responsibility.
Cultural Arts & Leadership Program (Northwest NANTA Ensemble) – Showcases youth leadership through cultural performance by blending traditional Korean percussion with contemporary music and movement. Through the Northwest NANTA Ensemble, youth build confidence, collaborate across diverse backgrounds, and explore cultural identity while engaging with the community through dynamic, culturally rooted performances.
Purple U Weekend STEM & Learning Program
Every Saturday from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Purple U Youth Foundation provides free STEM education and mentorship for students from underserved and immigrant families.

Hosted by the Purple U Youth Science Club, our hackathons provide youth with hands-on STEM experience through real-world challenges, teamwork, and mentorship from industry professionals.
Northwest NANTA Ensemble
Cultural Arts & Leadership Program (Northwest NANTA Ensemble) – Empowers youth through dynamic cultural performances that blend traditional Korean percussion with contemporary expression.
